Registration
Sellers and Bidders are required to register on our site before they can participate in any auction. Registration is free.

Bidders registering on Edinburgh Auctions wll be sent an email with their login username and password. Only approved bidders who have logged onto Edinburgh Auctions website are able to make a bid. Sellers can therefore be guaranteed that any bids received have come fom a vetted and approved Edinburgh Auctions registered Bidder.

Sellers registering on Edinburgh Auctions will be provided with a username and password by email. To place any item in the auction, Seller must first login and then upload the details of their item including a photograph if available. For each item submitted to Edinburgh Auctions the Seller will be charged £1. The payment is collected via PayPal and this can be paid directly from your PayPal account if funds are available or using your credit card. The item will be immediately placed in the live auction for a period of 7 days. At the end of this period we will email the detail of the successful Bidder to the Seller. 

Account Holders
Edinburgh Auctions offer Account Facilities for sellers/clients who wish to place regular or multiple items in the auction. Accounts start fom £25 + VAT per month. Contact us for details

Unsold Items
If your item remains unsold or the reserve price has not been met at the end of the 7 days then you can request a new 7 day auction at the same or a different reserve price by emailing your request to us. See Contact Us page for details. This will incur a repeat charge. 

Terms and Conditions
All items are subject to availability at the time of purchase, you must be over 18 years of age to bid using our site.

Reserve Price
Auctions are subjected to a reserve price. Once an auction has commenced the placement of a bid by you constitutes a legal offer to purchase the product under auction once the item has expired.

BUY NOW Price
Select the BID NOW button and use the normal BID NOW process to guarantee your successful bid for the item by bidding at the 'by now' price provided in the item details. 

Winning Bids
The winning bid in any auction will be the offer accepted and where applicable, meets any other conditions stated at time of purchase. The price of the winning bid is inclusive of any value added tax.

Bids may be refused or removed, including those in respect of which there is dispute or which fail to reach the reserve price (where applicable).

Products won on the auction site will be delivered to your address by whatever method mutually agreed between youand The Seller.

In exceptional ircustances, some auctions may be closed early, extended, or cancelled. Edinburgh Auctions have the right to withdraw a listing at any time.

Liability
Edinburgh Auctions cannot accept any liability for any losses or claims arising from any inability to access the web site, any interruption in the conduct of any auction or any failure to complete a transaction.

Payments
The Seller will contact you to arrange payment once you have won an item. This will be done over the phone opr by email. Please make sure you provide a daytime telephone number when registering as this will be the main contact for The Seller to be able to call you.

Postage
The Seller will advise of any postage charges prior to you purchasing goods. These charges are subject to change by the Seller.

Delivery
The Seller will arrange delivery with you. Edinburgh Auctions are not responsible for delivery of items that you successfully bid for.

Returns
Edinburgh Auctions are NOT responsible for the returns policy of any of our sellers. Should your item reach you in an unsatisfactory condition or arrive broken you must notify the seller within 24 hours.

Privacy
The details you provide when registering are for Edinburgh Auction use only and will not be used in conjunction with any third party advertising. We may use your information to send out any promotional material or advise of an upcoming event, however should you wish to not receive such information please advise at time of payment.
